It’s been a year since the prophecy changed and Taylor Swift presented fans with her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Swift, 35, revealed during the 2024 Grammy Awards that her next LP was on the way, which arrived on April 19, 2024.
Upon its midnight release, eager Swifties stayed up late trying to decipher lyrical Easter eggs and potential nods to her exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy, as well as her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Just as fans reached the end of the 16-song setlist, Swift surprised Us with another announcement at 3 a.m. and revealed that TTPD was a secret double album with even more poetic lyrics and infectious beats.
The Anthology landed Swift an impressive five Grammy nominations, plus an additional recognition for her “us.” duet with Gracie Abrams, though she didn’t take home any hardware in February 2025.
Despite her Grammys loss, Swift has had a banner year since fans first heard TTPD that very first night on April 19. Keep scrolling to revisit her biggest moments:
The ‘Eras Tour’ Changed Us Forevermore
Swift was in the midst of her record-breaking Eras Tour when she released TTPD, also secretly working to add a brand-new section to the already three-hour-long show.
She debuted the TTPD set during her trio of May 2024 concerts in Paris. Then, the next month, she surprised Us again when Kelce appeared onstage at Wembley Stadium in London to carry her during the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” pantomime.
Swift wrapped the Eras Tour in December 2024 with six concerts in Canada.
‘End of an Era’ Party
Kelce made sure to celebrate Swift’s milestone touring achievement and hosted a blowout bash for their friends, family and Kansas City Chiefs athletes in December 2024.
Guests, including Brittany Mahomes and the Haim sisters, wore Swiftie-inspired costumes, traded friendship bracelets the catalyst of Swift and Kelce’s romance and danced all night.
To cap it off, Kelce even gave Swift the “22” fedora like she did on stage each night.
Officially a Published Author
In addition to Kelce’s party, Swift celebrated her Eras achievement with the 2024 release of a coffee table book. It sold more than one million copies in the first week alone.
“My goal was for every fan to leave that show knowing I gave them absolutely everything I had,” she wrote in the prologue.
“I made a promise to myself to be physically and mentally tougher than I ever had been before. To be more disciplined and committed to my health, fitness, and stamina. Thankfully, I’m surrounded by my incredible crew, band, singers, and dancers who all matched my dedication to the massive scale and challenges of this show.”
Karma Is the Guy on the Chiefs
Swift attended as many Chiefs games as she could between Eras concerts, including the 2025 AFC Championship (sealed with an on-the-field victory kiss) and the 2025 Super Bowl.
The Chiefs, however, lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles and Swift made sure to privately console her man.
“Taylor is supporting Travis during this difficult time and it’s just trying to be there for him as much as possible,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly.
“The game obviously did not go as planned.”
Giving Back
Swift also made sure to help those in need this year. She made a surprise visit to a local Kansas City children’s hospital in December 2024, meeting patients and their families and delivering holiday gifts such as a Dyson AirWrap and a replica of her Miu Miu two-piece.
One month later, Swift donated to multiple organizations supporting victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.
“The fires in California have devastated so many families and it’s been heartbreaking to see these stories unfold,” Swift wrote via her Instagram Stories in January 2025.
“So much suffering, loss and destruction. As so many people embark on some of the most challenging times of their lives, there are also many amazing organizations and groups banding together to help these communities rebuild.”
Wearing His Initial on a Chain ‘Round Her Upper Thigh
It was evident to fans that Swift presumably had Kelce on the brain (and in her heart) when she stepped out solo at the Grammys.
The pop star stunned in a Chiefs-red corset dress by Vivienne Westwood, which she accessorized with a dainty and custom “T” chain hanging off her thigh.
Fans immediately theorized the “T” was a nod to Kelce, who was unable to attend the ceremony because it was held days before the Super Bowl. (Swift repurposed the Lorraine Schwartz chain as a necklace for the big game.)
During the show, Swift presented Beyoncé with the trophy for Best Country Album after walking out to TTPD’s “So High School.”
In case you forget, the single is heavily presumed to be about Kelce thanks to multiple athletic references like, “You know how to ball / I know Aristotle.”
Knitting Their Babies Presents
In her downtime, Swift also made sure to congratulate her friends after they grew their families.
A source told Us in January 2025 that Swift made Patrick and Brittany Mahomes’ newborn daughter, Golden Raye, a special blanket.
Months later in March 2025, Swift dropped a “like” on Jason and Kylie Kelce’s news that their fourth daughter had arrived.
While Swift is known for crafting DIY presents for her pals’ kids, it is not publicly known whether Travis’ sibling got one when Finnley was born.
Jet-Set Power Couple
In between Swift and Travis’ respective professional commitments, they’ve hopped in a getaway car (or plane, depending on the destination, of course) for trips to New York, Utah and Montana.
They even hit up the US Open and a Yankees baseball playoff game in fall 2024.
“Taylor and Travis are doing great, and they’re still very much together and in love,” a source told Us in April 2025. “They’re just taking a break from the public eye.”
Travis, for his part, is in the NFL offseason until training camp resumes in summer 2025.

For 25 years, a museum kept an item in its archives labeled a “medical specimen.” Then one day, a mother happened to see it and stopped cold, recognizing a familiar detail and believing it could be connected to the son she had lost contact with long ago. From that moment, everything began to unfold into a long story of overlooked records, lingering unanswered questions, and a determined search for the answers her family had been waiting for for years.

The day I signed the divorce papers, I thought that would be the most painful moment, until he walked out and immediately filed for a new marriage, as if I had never existed. I quietly ended my working arrangement with my sister-in-law to keep my dignity intact. But that night, 77 calls came flooding in, and my in-laws’ line about “55 billion dollars a year” kept repeating like a warning. That’s when I realized this was no longer private.

My 11-year-old daughter came home, but her key wouldn’t work, so she stood there for a long time trying to stay out of the rain. Then my mother stepped outside and said, simply, “We’ve all agreed. From now on, you and your mom don’t belong here.” I didn’t argue. I just said, “Understood.” Three days later, my mother received a letter, went pale as she read it, and everything took a turn no one saw coming.

I pretended I was broke and asked my millionaire children for help, hoping for a little warmth. But all I got back was distance and cold words, and I walked away feeling completely alone. That night, my poorest son opened his door to me, shared everything he could, and quietly reminded me what real family looks like. His silent kindness taught me a lesson about love, character, and respect that I will never forget.

Our engagement dinner suddenly turned into a suffocating moment when my future mother-in-law, the wife of a powerful CEO, kept bragging about her “prestigious” family name, mocked my past, and deliberately humiliated me right in front of everyone. In a quiet neighborhood coffee shop, a rude man mocked a 78-year-old widow, tossing out cutting remarks and trying to humiliate her in front of everyone, convinced she was alone and would stay silent.
