Elon Musk has brought his son X AE A-Xii to China during Donald Trump’s tech executive visit, sparking speculation about his parenting of his dozen-plus children.

You may have seen that Donald Trump brought a bunch of American tech executives to China with him, leaving them to toddle along behind him like eager children. One of them, Elon Musk, did the same thing in turn with one of his actual children, whose name is – do imagine me squinting at my monitor here – X AE A-Xii.
Or X for short. Yes, the same thing Elon named his social media platform. Yes, the same name he wanted to use for PayPal. Yes, the same one he used for an online bank. He really, really likes the letter X, OK?X (the boy this time) is the lone child, among Elon’s reportedly prodigious brood of more than a dozen, we ever actually see with him. He’s the one who kept popping up in the Oval Office, back when Elon was running DOGE.

And as trashy as this conversation is becoming, reader, that does fascinate me. It hints at juicy gossip.

Does Elon not parent any of the others? Is this, like, a medieval situation, where Elon has chosen his favoured heir and is focusing all his energy on tutoring him, while leaving the rest to live comfortable but frivolous lives, out of the way and with mounting resentment?
I mean, even Mr Trump – famously not a particularly nurturing father – took more of his kids to China, and they’re in their forties.See also  Lewis Hamilton gets his first taste of the SF-25: F1 news round-up

Sorry I’ve digressed massively, this was supposed to be a post about X carrying a cute satchel, which “stole the show”, to quote Britain’s Sun newspaper.

No shade at the kid, by the way. It’s his dad who weirds me out.
