She was once hailed as Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘new Grace Kelly’ and starred opposite some of the biggest legends of Hollywood’s golden age.
Now the screen icon has been spotted on a rare outing – and she still looks incredible at 95.
The actress, best known for her role in Psycho, appeared sprightly as she stepped out in Palm Springs this week.
Dressed casually in a plaid shirt, tan trousers and a weathered bucket hat, the star looked worlds away from her glamorous heyday on the silver screen, but still just as radiant – proving age hasn’t dimmed her sparkle.
At the height of her fame, she starred opposite John Wayne in John Ford’s 1956 western classic The Searchers and worked closely with Hitchcock after he placed her under personal contract.
The famed director even cast her opposite Henry Fonda in the 1956 thriller The Wrong Man – though their relationship later soured when she became pregnant and missed out on the lead role in Vertigo, which eventually went to Kim Novak.
