Lisa Rinna has claimed that she lost one of her most lucrative jobs after criticizing Donald Trump.
In her new memoir, the 62-year-old said that slamming the President during the beginning of his first term in 2020 contributed to her being dropped by QVC.
The actress launched her self-titled clothing line, The Lisa Rinna Collection, with the home shopping network in 2012, and it quickly became one of its most popular celebrity lines.
However, Rinna claims that she was dropped from the network in 2020 due to a combination of factors, one of which she believes may have been politically motivated.
She referenced QVC’s 2018 sale to the Qurate Retail Group, which is owned by billionaire media mogul and former Trump donor John C Malone.
‘QVC was sold to Qurate. The head of the company was majorly conservative and a huge Trump supporter and donor,’ she alleged in her book, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It.

It was unclear if she was referring to Malone or not, but Malone donated $250,000 to Trump’s inauguration in 2017, according to 9News.
‘During the 2020 election, I had been very vocal about my feelings towards Trump. I had worked with this man, so it’s not like he was a complete stranger to me,’ she continued, referring to her two seasons working with Trump on The Celebrity Apprentice.
‘I felt like that somehow made it okay for me to talk about and post about him,’ she continued.
‘I was shocked at his ugliness and vileness and hatred and couldn’t stay quiet about it.’
Rinna then said that her criticism of Trump led to her receiving death threats from online trolls, as well as losing followers on Instagram.
‘By this point, I was entrenched in RHOBH land and I was really mouthy about everything. That’s when I got the phone call canning me,’ she said.
‘I think between [my] Trump bashing, and RHOBH fans flooding the channel with complaints about me, it was more than QVC could handle.
‘It didn’t make sense – we were still making gobs of money.’

She also said that towards the end of her stint at QVC, the channel made her work with a new manufacturer that ‘made fabric I didn’t care for and wasn’t up to my high standards.’
‘The cut and the sewing, everything was inferior,’ she continued, before adding, ‘It was really less about Trump. He was just the final nail in the coffin.’
This is not the first time that Rinna has slammed QVC.
Back in 2020, shortly before she parted ways with the company, Rinna took to Instagram to claim that the network was ‘muzzling’ her over her anti-Trump posts.
‘I am sad to report it would now seem I can’t use my platform to inform or question or say how I feel politically because the Karens have bombarded QVC, begging them to fire me and saying they will no longer buy my clothes,’ she posted at the time.
‘It is a shame that I must be muzzled in order to support my family, but that is just what it is. Remember, you know how I feel. Use your voice and vote.’

Rinna spent two seasons with Trump on The Celebrity Apprentice, first in 2011 and then in 2013 for the show’s first all-star season.
Recalling her first stint on the show, Rinna said that legendary singer Dionne Warwick, who was also competing on her season, ‘was a nasty piece of work’.
‘The first time I met her on a create-your-own pizza task, she barely looked at me but had the audacity to bark, “Go get me a Pepsi!”‘ Rinna recalled.
‘And for some reason, I ran off like a simp to get Dionne Warwick a Pepsi. She thanked me by conspiring with her coven to get me canned,’ she said, referring to Warwick helping to eliminate her on the show.
Rinna also said that she ‘couldn’t trust any of the women’ on The Celebrity Apprentice, before taking aim at Star Jones.
‘I’d like to thank Star Jones for being such a twat, because her viciousness prepared me for my future as a Beverly Hills Housewife.’
‘I’m not sure I’d ever experienced woman-on-woman hate crimes before that,’ she added.
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes also clashed with both Jones and Warwick during her time on the NBC competition series.
